Some things that may appear to be small or simple can be the most powerful. You can discover this when studying Shoden in styles honoring the quintessence of the original Usui Reiki Ryoho; Gendai Reiki-ho and Komyo Reiki Kai s perfect examples.  Something seen as simple and small can appear quite differently when you step back and view the whole and feel the vibrations.  Beginning in shoden you learn the depth within the meaning of the five simple lines of the Usui Gokai (five precepts or principles).

Usui Reiki is the name given to the vibration of universal unconditional love and harmony that Mikao Usui connected to in 1921 when fasting in deep meditation after attaining enlightenment.  In 1922 he created an original spiritual practice, which included a method to open others to these amazing vibrations; we know this as Usui Reiki Ryoho, but being without ego he simply called it my method.  

Take a minute to think of the strength contained in love, then think of what can manifest from harmony.  This will give you an idea of what can come from the combination of these two universal energies when used in a way honoring the essence in which Usui Reiki Ryoho was created.

Reiki is just a Japanese noun. Usui Reiki Ryoho is a healing art using universal vibrations that come with universal wisdom. Balance and harmony travel to the core of those cells/atoms in the mind, body or spirit where imbalances exist; once an imbalance is brought back into balance and surrounded with harmony healing begins. <read What is Usui Reiki>

The appearance of small comes from the Reiki practitioner or Shihan (master instructor) not using any material objects, mysterious symbols, designated  hand positions, or directing in any way. 

The powerful comes from the healing that happens as mind, body and spirit heal together to bring the receiver’s mind, body and spirit back to a natural state of wellbeing.

Universal energy cannot be directed and trying to do so creates inharmonic vibrations. Nevertheless, once your pathway has been opened by a qualified Usui Reiki Ryoho  Shihan it naturally flows through you to where it is needed in mind, body or sprit of yourself or another. 

Being a piece of ‘the source’  Usui Reiki needs nothing to increase its strength. Once a clear connection has been established, with intention only this piece of universal energy can flow into and enhance everything in the receiver’s life.

Reiki-ho(method) is often called a hands-on healing, because it is usually done by allowing Reiki to flow through the palms of the hands.  As you learn in classes it can flow in many ways through many areas and to many places. The styles honoring Usui Reiki Ryoho are much more than hands-on healing or what is commonly thought of as energy healing.

Anyone of any age can benefit from Usui Reiki.  Anyone who is willing to take the time to learn something new to him or her can have his or her pathway opened to the vibrations of universal unconditional love and harmony by a qualified Usui Reiki Ryoho Shihan. 

There is nothing strange and mysterious about the true styles often referred to as Japanese Reiki because they come directly from Japan without complicated  rituals. Gendai Reiki Ho and Komyo Reiki Kai, both were created by Japanese Shihans who live in Japan and honor the essence in which Usui Sensei founded Usui Reiki Ryoho.  . <read what are Gendai Reiki-ho and Komyo Reiki kai> 

The first level or degree in Usui Reiki Ryoho is the first step on the path to enhancing all positive in your life. This level focuses on self-healing and self-growth; when you heal yourself your heal your family, your group, your community, our world. <Usui Reiki Ryoho classes>

To identify with an energy most people cannot see, hear, taste, or smell requires hours of study with a qualified Usui Reiki Shihan, and  a lot of practice, but the healing that results is worth it all.  It does not require symbols, material objects, chanting, or memorizing hand positions created once Usui Reiki Ryoho crossed the oceans.

Usui Reiki Ryoho is not difficult to learn, but requires an open mind, time and discipline. All levels are honorable and no level of can be learned in one afternoon, by a quick download from the internet, or from a book.

When what is taught in classes is embraced, Usui Reiki Ryoho leads to tranquility, peace and joy; it is the key to health and happiness.

The Usui Gokai (the five precept or five principles) is only five very short lines, but the meaning within those simple lines is powerful in a beautiful, gentle healing way.

 

 The way in which a Usui Reiki Ryoho Shihan opens another person’s pathway to Usui Reiki appears to be very simple and happens without music, material objects or any odd rituals.  It is a ritual passed from one Shihan to another. Once your pathway is truly opened, it stays that way for the rest of your life; with each level you complete it opens wider. The only thing that can interrupt the flow of universal love and harmony is such things as living by the ego, or if the attunement is only temporary. 

 

The universe does not discriminate, so not race, religion, sex, formal education, or wealth will stop a person from learning, if he or she wants to learn, or make learning easier.  

The universe allows free-will and no one can force Usui Reiki on anyone, if your higher-self/soul says no than Usui Seiki simply does not flow.

I have known through experience since 1996 that there is no way of knowing how much wider your pathway can be opened until you complete the level.  

While exercises, techniques, meditations and the opening of a person’s pathway is passed from Shihan to Shihan, there are not charts and graphs. Each person on this earth is unique and the universe recognizes and honors that; different levels are right for different people and each level is honorable.

Let go of thinking that you have all the knowledge is an important step in achieving a pure connection to universal love and harmony.  Since Usui Sensei passed on no one in the URR Gakkai (the society Usui Sensei founded in Japan) has claimed to have gone beyond him; Usui Sensei created the rating of 1-6 with one being the highest and being without ego he rated himself a two even though he was said to have been a furnace of energy. 

As you learned in science energy can be neither created nor destroyed, but it can only change form. Usui Reiki is a piece of universal energy, not a form; Usui Reiki reinforces and replenishes Ki/Qi (a from of life force energy that defies definition) and all other forms when needed.
